Youth in Uttar Pradesh to Get Minimum Wage Guarantee; Government to Bear Additional Company Charges

The Chief Minister said that all workers in IT, industrial, and other sectors will be provided with complete safety.

The Uttar Pradesh government under CM Yogi has taken a major step in favour of workers and youth. During the inauguration of the three-day ‘Rozgar Mahakumbh,’ Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the state will now guarantee a minimum wage to every working youth. This move makes Uttar Pradesh the first state in the country to ensure minimum wages for all its working youth. The government also clarified that it will not tolerate any form of exploitation of workers in the state.

Government to Bear Additional Charges

The government has also made arrangements to bear the additional charges levied by companies providing jobs. The Chief Minister said that to protect the rights of youth, the state government will form a new ‘Corporation.’ Moreover, this entity will ensure transparency. It will prevent companies and employers from charging any illegal fees or exploiting workers.

Big Gains at Rozgar Mahakumbh

On the very first day of Rozgar Mahakumbh, appointment letters were handed over to 1,818 youths. The Chief Minister personally distributed appointment letters to the youths at the Indira Gandhi Institute.

According to data, in the first phase, 468 youths got jobs in administrative and other departments. Additionally, 900 received jobs in skilled/semi-skilled labour, and 450 in other sectors. Salaries range between ₹12,000 and ₹45,000.

Solemn Focus on Worker Safety

The Chief Minister said that all workers in IT, industrial, and other sectors will be provided with complete safety. The government will ensure full arrangements for workers’ food, accommodation, medical care, and other needs.

Additionally, the government has started preparing youth for modern technical and language training and employment opportunities abroad. Partnerships have been made with reputed companies like Tata Technology to train youth in line with global standards.

Objective, Transparency, and Job Creation

The Chief Minister said, “Our goal is to guarantee employment for every youth. Responsibilities of companies and employers will be fixed. No exploitation will be allowed.”

Under Rozgar Mahakumbh, a total of 8.5 lakh youth will be provided jobs in the government and private sectors in the coming months. Senior officials of the Labour and Employment Department said that now youths will also get job opportunities through an online portal. Even before Rozgar Mahakumbh, millions of youths were given jobs through traditional industries in the state.

This historic initiative by the Yogi government will open new doors of employment and economic security for millions of youths in Uttar Pradesh. With guaranteed minimum wages, their lives and confidence will both be strengthened. The government’s aim clearly focuses on transparency, security, and dignified employment.
