Women in Uttar Pradesh are stepping forward in large numbers to set up their own businesses. Under the Chief Minister Yuva Udyami Abhiyan, more than one lakh women have registered so far. Out of these, 21,350 women have already received loans through the CM Yuva Udyami Abhiyan.
Around 14,200 women have successfully started their business, while the remaining are in the process of establishing theirs. The state government aims to make more women self-reliant by providing easy access to loans under this scheme. This will not only boost the CM Yuva Udyami Abhiyan but also ensure long-term empowerment.
Banks Directed to Approve Applications Within 48 Hours
On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department has partnered with more than 10 banks for the scheme. Applications are being approved and forwarded to banks within 24 to 48 hours. At the district level, daily reports are being collected, and banks have been directed not to delay loan distribution under CM Yuva Udyami Abhiyan.
The scheme was launched by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on 24 January, Uttar Pradesh Day. It provides interest-free and collateral-free loans of up to âš5 lakh to young entrepreneurs for setting up businesses.
Service Sector Attracts Most Entrepreneurs
So far, the service sector has seen the highest participation. According to official data, 63% of applicants have started businesses in services, while 37% have opted for manufacturing and production ventures.
The department is planning to organise special camps in educational institutions to connect more youth with the scheme. College and university administrators have also been asked to encourage young women students to consider entrepreneurship and participate in CM Yuva Udyami Abhiyan.
The government believes that the scheme will strengthen women economically and increase their role in society. The rising number of women entrepreneurs marks a significant step toward womenâs empowerment in Uttar Pradesh.
