UP Govt Announces Minimum Honorarium of ₹20,000–₹40,000 for Outsourced Employees

The UP government has announced the formation of an Outsourced Services Corporation to prevent the exploitation of outsourced employees. It aims to provide them with a secure future.

The UP government has announced the formation of an Outsourced Services Corporation to prevent the exploitation of outsourced employees. It aims to provide them with a secure future. Principal Secretary of Secretariat Administration, Amit Ghosh, informed that the government order has been issued. Recruitments through the corporation will begin within the next two months. This decision will create employment opportunities for lakhs of youth.

Under the corporation’s recruitment process, candidates from SC, ST, OBC, EWS, persons with disabilities, ex-servicemen, and women will be entitled to reservation benefits. Along with honorarium, employees will also receive facilities such as maternity leave, medical leave, health services, and EPF. In case of any irregularities, the service of the personnel will be immediately terminated.

Structure of the Corporation

The Chief Secretary will serve as the Chairperson of the corporation. Meanwhile, the Director General will serve as Secretary. In addition, senior officials from the Secretariat Administration, Finance, Personnel, Law, and Labour departments will be part of the Board of Directors. The corporation will have positions ranging from Director General, Executive Director, General Manager, Operations & HR Manager, Financial Controller, Company Secretary, Senior Accountant, to Data Entry Operators.

The structure of the corporation will include a Board of Directors, Advisory Committee, and Corporation Headquarters. Moreover, it will have monitoring committees at divisional, district, and local levels.

Salary Categories and Qualifications

The UP government has fixed four salary slabs for employees:

  • Category 1 (₹40,000/month): Doctors, Engineers (AE/SDO), Lecturers, Project Officers, Accounts Officers, Assistant Architects, and Research Officers. (Qualification: MBBS, B.Tech, Postgraduate, CA/M.Com, B.Arch, etc.)
  • Category 2 (₹25,000/month): Junior Engineers, Staff Nurses, Pharmacists, Translators, TGTs, Legal Assistants, Draftsmen, X-ray Technicians, etc. (Qualification: Graduate/Postgraduate, Diploma, B.Ed, LLB)
  • Category 3 (₹22,000/month): Junior Assistants, Typists, Data Entry Operators, Librarians, Electricians, Mechanics, Lab Assistants, Paramedical Staff, Drivers, etc. (Qualification: Intermediate/Graduate with Computer Certificate)
  • Category 4 (₹20,000/month): Office Assistants, Orderlies, Watchmen, Gardeners, Cooks, Washermen, Cobblers, Masons, Firemen, Pump Operators, Boatmen, etc. (Qualification: Minimum Class 8th or 10th Pass)

CM Yogi’s initiative will protect the interests of thousands of outsourced employees in the state. It ensures them a fixed honorarium and a secure future. With this new system, outsourced employees will gain not only financial security but also dignified employment opportunities.
