To strengthen the education, safety, and self-reliance of girls in Uttar Pradesh, Mission Shakti 5.0 has been launched on a large scale. On Monday (21 September), various activities were organised in council schools across the state. Today, on 23 September, daughters will take charge as “One-Day Officers” in different departments.
On Monday, schoolgirls spread the message of women’s safety, education, and social participation by holding rallies and staging street plays. In Kasturba Gandhi and council schools across the state, girls raised awareness about child rights. During this time, plays were also staged based on different forms of Goddess Durga. Along with this, self-defence training inspired by Rani Lakshmibai was given to empower daughters.
The girls also showcased their talent by creating posters related to the nine forms of Goddess Durga. Director General of School Education, Monika Rani, said that the aim of Mission Shakti 5.0 is to inspire every girl towards education, confidence, and self-reliance. Nurturing their talent is the government’s primary responsibility. Under this mission, numerous programs are being conducted in all schools.
Minister of State for Basic Education (Independent Charge), Sandeep Singh, said that along with education, it is the government’s resolution to make every girl capable, aware, and worthy of leadership. Mission Shakti 5.0 is a symbol of this commitment.
