The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh is making continuous efforts to improve women’s health and welfare. These efforts are now showing positive results in the state. Women are receiving benefits from government schemes and programs. This is changing their day-to-day life.
According to the latest Government report, there is a 5.1% point decrease in anaemia rates among pregnant women in the state. Compared to earlier, fewer women now face anaemia. This has improved women’s health. It also has a direct impact on the health of mothers and children in households.
The same report highlights that Maternal death rate, infant death rate, and neonatal death rate have also seen a historic decline. Earlier, many women and children lost their lives due to these reasons. Now, with better government schemes and improved health services, this number has dropped significantly in recent years under the Yogi Government.
The government achieved this success by improving hospital facilities, promoting antenatal checkups, nutrition supplements, and regular vaccinations. Awareness campaigns are running actively, helping every village get important information about mother and child health.
There is remarkable progress in the female-male sex ratio as well. Now, for every 1,000 males, there are 1,020 females in Uttar Pradesh. This figure is a big step towards gender equality in the state. Society is now more positive about the birth and care of the girl child.
The Uttar Pradesh government claims it will bring even better schemes in the future for women’s and children’s health improvement. Their aim is for every woman to be healthy and for children to have a safe life, and only then can long-term economic or social growth for the state be achieved.
These efforts are empowering women in the state and laying a strong foundation for a prosperous and secure society.
