The construction work at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi premises in Ayodhya is progressing rapidly. The Trust has already completed six temples within the parikrama complex, seven temples outside it, and the sacred Kuber Tila. However, since the internal pathways are not yet ready, devotees cannot reach these sites at present. From October 15, visitors will be able to visit these temples and other viewing points.
Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, shared the information after a meeting of the temple construction committee in Karsevakpuram. He added that the Trust is installing three lifts to facilitate the elderly and the differently-abled. The team will complete the work by the end of September. With this, devotees will be able to reach the Ram Darbar on the first floor after having darshan of Ram Lalla.
The Trust is making continuous arrangements for devotees’ convenience. A dedicated shoe rack building has been constructed outside the parikrama complex. It has a capacity to hold 12,000 pairs of footwear. In addition, a Panchavati area is being developed on 10 acres of land within the campus.
Around 3,000 workers are toiling day and night. Facilities like drinking water, seating areas, toilets, and tight security arrangements have been ensured. Plans for facade lighting are also underway to enhance the temple’s beauty.
Rai said the Trust will organise a flag-hoisting ceremony in the third week of November. The event will focus on Ayodhya and invite selected participants from 20–25 nearby districts.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 22, 2024. The next aim of the Trust is to make the entire premises seamless, accessible, and safe for devotees. This ensures that pilgrims face no difficulty during darshan.
