Fake Rape Racket, Miss UP as ‘Vishkanya’, and a ₹1500-Crore Empire: SIT Exposes Kanpur Lawyer Akhilesh Dubey’s Reign of Fear

Dubey’s journey began by preparing land documents (fard writing). This work brought him close to police officers, from constables to senior officials.

A racket of fake rape cases, and an empire worth more than ₹1500 crore. This is the story of lawyer Akhilesh Dubey, a man who never argued a case in court, but used his cunning and strong police connections to build his rule in Kanpur. The SIT investigation has now started to unravel the entire network.

Woman’s Confession

The girl who filed a false rape case against BJP leader Ravi Satija at Barra police station has confessed in custody.

She revealed that lawyer Tonu Yadav lured her with money and took her to Akhilesh Dubey. On his instructions, she registered a fake case. Each case earned her between ₹50,000 and ₹2 lakh. She admitted that police protection was always assured.

She also said that several women from her colony were part of the gang. When the SIT launched its probe, Tonu quickly sent over ten women from the settlement to Chhattisgarh.

Miss UP Became the ‘Vishkanya’

The investigation further revealed that a former Miss UP winner was also trapped by Dubey. He tempted her with promises of money and career opportunities. Gradually, she rose within the gang and was given a new name -“Vishkanya”.

She began living in Dubey’s campus and was even elevated to the post of district president of the women’s wing of a political outfit.

Her first target was a hotel owner located in front of Dubey’s office. She lodged a false rape case against him and later extracted a settlement of ₹2.5 crore. The same hotel owner has now filed an FIR against Dubey and the “Vishkanya,” who has since gone missing.

Nexus with Police

Dubey’s journey began by preparing land documents (fard writing). This work brought him close to police officers, from constables to senior officials.

Over time, these ties turned into his greatest asset.

Using police protection, he framed influential people in false rape cases, grabbed properties, and extorted huge sums of money.

According to the SIT, more than 54 cases of land grabbing and extortion were linked to Dubey’s network. The estimated value of properties under his control stands at over ₹1500 crore.

His Own ‘Court’

Interestingly, Akhilesh Dubey never argued in a courtroom. Instead, he turned his office into his own “court.”

Big case files were drafted there, police inquiries were penned, and outcomes decided. For nearly three decades, histerror ruled Kanpur.

People feared him so much that they avoided legal battles and instead accepted forced settlements.

SIT and Police Action

Police Commissioner Akhil Kumar confirmed that fake rape cases were Dubey’s most powerful weapon.

“People do not need to fear anymore. Victims should come forward and file reports. Only then can strict action be taken,” he said.

The SIT is now searching for the missing Miss UP, alias Vishkanya, along with other absconding women. They are also examining the details of Dubey’s vast land empire.

This case is not just about one lawyer. It is about a system where the misuse of law became a tool of extortion and fear.

The coming days will decide how deeply this empire can be dismantled — and whether victims will finally get justice.
